Masonry Party Wall System

Masonry Party Wall System

The ARC Party Wall system for masonry construction.

The ARC Masonry Party Wall System is an innovative fire-stopping solution for masonry constructions with an adjoining party wall. The System is comprised of nine complimenting products all designed to halt the spread of smoke and flames within hidden cavities at the party wall.

Key Benefits Of The ARC Masonry Party Wall System

  • Where appropriate, key products in the System exceed fire integrity requirements laid out in Approved Document B (ADB).
  • Satisfies NHBC Chapter 7.2 D13 ‘Junctions between roofs and compartment or separating walls shall adequately resist fire spread’.
  • Supports compliance in the new 2024 guidance laid out by NHBC.
  • Key products are third party certified by IFC.
  • A far more effective fire-stopping solution than conventional systems.
  • Supports an excellent U-value, reducing energy bills.
  • Complies with Robust Details.

Reducing Heat Loss

Aside from the life saving fire-stopping capabilities, the masonry System provides an impressive reduction in potential heat loss. The ARC Masonry Party Wall System dramatically reduces heat loss along the edges of the party wall, enabling a great U-value to be achieved. Without effective edge sealing, the party wall cavity allows heat to escape.

The image (below) highlights the areas of heat loss in a row of terraced houses, of a particular note is the heat loss at the top of the junction where the party wall cavity meets the external cavity. The Masonry Party Wall System directly addresses heat loss, supporting a high EPC rating and lowering energy bills.

Further Benefits Of The ARC Party Wall System

  • Up to three times more effective as an edge seal than conventional systems.
  • Simplified installation when compared to conventional systems.
  • Reduces sound transmission between the dwellings and within the cavity.
  • Minimises thermal bypass.
  • Specifically designed for masonry constructions.
